Her Heart Was Set On Cotton Candy

A original poem by Ty Brando entitled: Her Heart Was Set On Cotton Candy

Her heart was set on pink cotton candy

Nothing else would do

If she had to,

If she really had to,

She’d walk a mile,

Or two

We walked

As we talked

And then we walked a little longer . . .

It musta been a mile or two

We went for the cotton

The rotten cotton candy,

For nothing else would do

Didn’t wanna ride no camel

Didn’t wanna feed no goat

Didn’t wanna wait in a long, long line

To sail in a silly little boat

Didn’t wanna ride no pony

Didn’t wanna catch no train

Didn’t wanna stop to potty

Or ride the sky lift thing

Didn’t wanna do no merry-go-round

Or see some horses prancing

Didn’t wanna catch the tilt-a-whirl

Or watch the hula dancing

Didn’t wanna settle for a doughnut flat and fried

Dusted, with white powdered sugar

Didn’t wanna ride on a Ferris Wheel turning

With a Slurpee and a burger

No,

Her heart was set

On a bag o’ cotton candy

Nothing else would do

If she had to,

If she really had to,

She’d walk a mile or two

We walked

As we talked

And then we walked a little longer . . .

It musta been a mile,

Or two . . .

We went for the cotton

The rotten cotton candy

For nothing else

Would do
